Co-Occurring Disorders Training Academy:
Promoting Evidence-Based Integrated Care
COURSE FORMAT
The course is an intensive week-long workshop on both integrated clinical approaches in working with adults with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders and foundations of case management. Evidenced-based practices including Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment and Motivational Interviewing principles will be emphasized within unifying themes of recovery and culturally competent/appropriate service.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Case managers in the Washington state public chemical dependency and mental health systems desiring an introduction to serving adults with co-occurring mental and substance disorders.

- Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (Stages of Change/Stages of Treatment)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Tuition, training materials, room (double occupancy) are provided by the Institute. Each participant is responsible for transportation, meals and an additional room charge if single occupancy is requested.

The course is conducted at the Western Branch of The Washington Institute for Mental Health Research and Training at Tacoma, Washington.
